McCarty Church

The church is located in West Adams, it is an 8 week project. The purpose of this project is to bring together community and reentry people through an activity that all people can relate to: gardening. We are able to help people correlate healing with the work of the garden while putting their hands in the soil we hope to root them in their souls to something that humbles all people. There is no color, no boundaries that separate one when gardening we touch the soil and touch our souls. We create experiences where people are able to display their unique gifts as individuals and collectively, we create activities where people can see the need for one another and find that they can relate to one another on so many levels. This experience helps define the community.
