Huma House reexamines the traditional art model by using exhibition spaces to prioritize community and activism. Our nonprofit arm specifically focuses on aiding formerly incarcerated individuals and disrupting the prison cycle.
Huma House spotlights the exhibition “Freedom and Vision: A Group Exhibition of Artwork From Inside and Outside the Prison Gates." The show featured work from nine artists, six of whom are incarcerated. We corresponded with the artists inside prison to provide resources and advice on their career pathway as a contemporary artist.
